This week saw over 300 international buyers attend Meitheal, a global travel trade fair that was held in Dublin, Ireland between the 11th and 12th of April. The related Twitter activity caught the attention of Team Olytico.
Between the 10th and 13th of April, the hashtag used by the trade fair, #meitheal2016 reached 1,062,270 accounts and had a potential exposure of 9,329,166 impressions.
In this short time frame, 1,578 tweets were sent using #meitheal2016 from 561 unique contributors.
Meitheal 2016 presented a very special opportunity for Irish Industry suppliers to meet with overseas tour operators and group organisers, with a view to negotiating business for the coming year. Not surprisingly as trade fair host, @failte_ireland featured as the most prominent contributor with over 4.1million impressions and 370 retweets earned through their online activities.

Meitheal also offered a number of informal evening networking opportunities so local tourist destinations like the Guinness Storehouse , Teelings Whiskey Distillery, which hosted the closing after party and Croke Park also benefited from the event.
